WHAT A LIFE PROJECT
A while ago, I had the opportunity to create a lyric video for the song "What A Life" by Gambaplanet. It was my first major solo project, and I'm incredibly grateful for the opportunity. Together with the artists, we came up with the concept for the visualizer, and using Adobe After Effects, I brought the visualizer to life in a captivating loop.
It took some time to set everything up, but once I found my flow, the process went smoothly. The highlight was animating the lyrics, making them dance all over the screen in sync with the music.
RENEW A CLUB PROJECT
For this project, I had to renew the Amsterdam culture club and nightclub “De School” with a new name, location, concept and design. I made up the name Science Spark because the club takes part in university Science Park. The name Spark suggests the club is gonna have a spark. The colors lightblue and purple are frequently used in science in general, as you can see in the animated posters. Every background and symbol has a space vibe (stars, atoms, cells, chemical formula’s etc.).
First two vertical video’s are animated posters. These will give you information about the nightclub. The video underneath is a introduction video of the culture club Science Spark.
DUTCH CITY PROJECT
The Assignment
Create a project based on something interesting in the Dutch city Maastricht. Collect inspiration in that city for the assignment and show it with a media expression.
Concept
I found my concept when I visited the “Berenkuil” which means a bears hole, which is located in the city park of Maastricht.
I wanted to express an emotion of isolation what the bears felt which were isolated in a hole behind bars. My concept is: “How it feels to be isolated and what happens when you’re isolated?”
Process
I created a storyboard and I made the storyline interesting by adding an uncanny clock that ticks fast and when time goes on, the clock ticks faster. The clock resembles the time spent in isolation.
The Endproduct
You can see the storyboard in motion. As time passes the video gets more intense and in the ending you’re seeing the consequences of being stuck in an isolation.
ANTI ad PROJECT
For this project I made my own anti-advertisement about Nestlé.
I found my concept regarding Nestlé’s slogan. Nestlé’s slogan is Good Food, Good Life which isn’t true because they were involved in numerous scandals.
I switched it to Bad Food, Worse Life because they produce unhealthy food and they are affecting many lifes with the numerous scandals.
In the storyboard the Nestle bird gets sick because of the pollution and unhealthy food Nestlé produces.
The text Bad Food, Worse Life gets shown in the ending.
BRANDING THE PROTEST PROJECT
In this project, I created a powerful protest movement, complete with a unique identity that I designed and brought to life. My protest targets the introduction of a mandatory digital ID for all EU citizens (Stop Digital ID).
I created posters that clearly communicate the message of resistance, along with a visual manifesto that represents the core principles of my protest. Additionally, I produced an impactful protest video that powerfully conveys the essence of my stance and inspires people to take action.
LYric video PROJECTs
I have a big interest when it comes to lyric videos. These are the lyric videos I’ve made before I’ve made the big project lyric video What A Life - El Duro, Jogo, Jr Baby Elephant.
These are short lyric videos of songs I used to listen to.
I made this back in 2021 and 2022, my skills have improved since then.
STUDENT-BOX PROJECT
In this project, I created a mealbox for students who are dating. My audience are sporty people to connect the meal with a healthy lifestyle.
The mealboxes has sporty colors (orange and dark blue), I chose a sporty font to go with that. The orange box is a Lifting Edition and the blue one Cardio.
The concept of the video is the heartbeat goes faster and faster because of how intense it gets. You can see they recharge by eating our products and drinking. “Get fit together in a heartbeat” is the slogan at the ending.
